Konami could be reviving the legendary horror series! Moreover, Hideo Kojima could possibly lead the project. Unfortunately, this information is just a guess based on some of the recent tweets by Kojima Productions’ head of communications Aki Saito. In his message, he said, “sorry I’ve been too silent,” which could mean that the company’s planning something. Besides, fans spotted the word “pyramid” on Saito’s pencil that could also be a reference to the franchise.

At the same time, Konami promises to produce new sequels to their AAA titles, 2 of which could be Silent Hill games produced by Hideo Kojima. In his Rocket Beans Gaming interview, Kojima said that he wants his next project to be an interactive horror. However, it’s not clear whether it will be a video game or a movie-game hybrid.

Kojima’s return to Konami seems fantastical as his firing was a resounding case that caused anger and mistrust to the company. Nevertheless, it’s clear that Konami wants to take a slice of the next-gen console market that opens in late 2020, and Kojima could help them with that. Tell us what you think in the comments and share the news with other Silent Hill fans!
